Congratulations to my friend George Vasil and his wife Ay on the recent birth of Their daughter Elena. She's about seven weeks now, the picture is very current. George is also Operating Headlands Hotel in Austinmer NSW. That's Australia for those that haven't yet figured it out yet. Chris Mclaughlin is On!

Props to On! rider Chris Mclaughlin for making the final of the men's division, this weekend in the Surfside Sports contest. The contest was held this weekend at 54th street in Newport beach, in marginal conditions. Chris did what he could in windy 1 to 2 foot surf, and made the final, in conditions that I wouldn't even wish on my enemy. Good job Chris! I also want to give props to On! rider Joe Frizzelle who surfed in a heat yesterday but didn't advance. Good effort all the same. Thanks to both of those guys for supporting our cause!

I have boards listed there with descriptions and a picture of either side of the board.

Happy first day of spring!

Its the first day of spring so I just wanted to do back flips today! It was an insane clear warm windless day here In orange county. Feel sorry for that poor guy that stepped on a stingray this morning near orange street in Newport Beach though... He couldn't even walk, an ambulance had to come and take him away.

On other topics, On surfboards is looking for aspiring young photographer and videographer to contribute to our blog and to shoot and video team riders. Flat conditions and Flourescent colors.

The surf was flat today. Or at least what I would call flat. I was going to blog about how every one needs a Fish or Longboard for days like today, so I guess that I just did that. My friend Alex Krastev who is a boy's designer at Quicksilver sent me a picture of the board I just made for him. We've all heard that fluorescent colors have made a come back, I guess Alex's artwork is proof of that. Nice work Alex, Throw some big turns on that thing!
